Hypertension Research Study

Physicians from Cherry Hill Internal Medicine are currently conducting a research study for people with high blood pressure. This study compares the effectiveness and safety of TAK-491, an investigational medication, and valsartan in the treatment of hypertension. We are excited about this opportunity and invite your participation.

You MAY be eligible to participate if you can answer YES to the following questions:
  • Are you generally healthy with a diagnosis of high blood pressure?
  • Are you 18 years of age or older?

You MAY NOT be eligible if you:
  • Have had a heart attack or stroke in the last 6 months?
  • Have had cancer in the past 5 years (except basal cell)?
  • Have diabetes (Type I - insulin dependent)

This study lasts approximately 7 months and includes 14 visits, with up to 4 additional visits depending on test results. You will receive thorough research-related medical attention and testing at no cost. During the study, you will be provided with study medication. In addition, you will be compensated for participating in the study. Through participation in research you may learn more about your own health and contribute to medical research in finding future new treatments for hypertension.

Rheumatoid arthritis study for patients who have never received Methotrexate therapy

ClinSite is participating in a multi-center clinical research study for patients with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This is a Phase III study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of treatment with an investigational drug in combination with Methotrexate, a common RA therapy, compared to Methotrexate alone, in patients with active RA who are considered to be candidates for, but have never tried, Methotrexate therapy. Individuals participating in the study will be randomly assigned to one of three treatment groups. Two groups will receive different doses of the investigational drug intravenously (IV) in combination with Methotrexate. The other group will receive placebo IV in combination with Methotrexate. To be eligible, patients must meet the criteria below, in addition to other eligibility criteria.

General Eligibility Criteria includes
  • Patients must have had an active RA diagnosis for at least three months and be 18 years of age or older.
  • Patients must have not tried Methotrexate therapy before.

The study is actively recruiting, seeking patients who might be appropriate study participants. Qualified participants will receive study-related medical care and may also receive compensation. If you would like to see if you may be eligible to participate in this study, please call a member of ClinSites research team at (734) 930-3700.

Rheumatoid arthritis study for patients who have received Methotrexate therapy, unsuccessfully

This is a Phase III study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of treatment with an investigational drug in combination with Methotrexate or Leflunomide, common RA therapies, compared to Methotrexate alone, in patients with active RA who have an inadequate clinical response to, or have been unable to tolerate, the common RA therapies Etanercept, Infliximab, or Adalimumab. Individuals participating in the study will be randomly assigned to one of three treatment groups. Two groups will receive different doses of the investigational drug intravenously (IV) in combination with Methotrexate. The other group will receive placebo IV in combination with Methotrexate.
